Experience
I have been a homeschool parent for several years and I have experience teaching all subjects. I enjoy helping teens who are at a critical point in their education and need fundamental organizational skills and proper study habits. Sometimes kids who don't do well in school can improve significantly by learning a few key skills. I try to build rapport with students and work on confidence building and positive thinking. I talk to teens about how to "make the grade" in high school. I enjoy teaching elementary math in various ways to address different learning styles. I use worksheets, games, manipulatives and videos. I am equipped to teach homeschool topics and create science curricula including lab work. This can also be used as summer enrichment for traditional students. I have a range of lab materials in biology, forensic science, chemistry and materials science.
